If u can not create an account GFWL, you need:
1. Go to control panel / add or remove programs
2. Remove Game for windows live and Game for windows Market ( sorry i cant remember that name)
3. Download a newest GFWL on Microsoft site
4. Install that GFWL and launch game
5. When in game, u will see a panel that u can create an account, scroll down, click to the “create a local account” (if u dont see that panel, you can push the button “Home” in keyboard, then it’ll appear)
6. Ceate an account so u can save game any time ( this game no need cr*** , install it, create account GFWL offline, play, and done!)

1. Get gfwl. It will download 4 things. Live sign in assist requires your windows update to be on manual or automatic not disabled for the install otherwise it will not install and it has to. (right click my computer–>manage–>services—> locate it—> rclick properties… set to manual)
2. Create an id. Make a quick email somewhere (gotta confirm it)
3. Login to live marketplace after confirming your quick email..stay logged for now.
4. Mount. Install game (with live running). Don’t apply any crack.
5. Logo screens press home key if your gfwl isn’t showing. Some TOS crap appears scroll down for a small hyper link that says create local profile. Give it a name.
6. DONE. Now you can firewall gfwl,the game and everything else off and everything will save locally fine—assuming gfwl doesn’t glitch out and eat your saves lol
Gfwl sucks anyway you do it.

I manage to fix GFWL, now i’m playing Dark Souls w/o crack. So can any1 explain me why crack exist if u can play this game w/o it?

I re installed GFWL and stills same, dunno why, coz when i use arkham city or street fighter x tekken it opens normally. Anyone knows another way?

no crack was required. i downloaded from TPB, installed, i had an offline G4WL account but apparently u have to make a new offline account.saves worked just fine.
@Charmander there is no crack you just need to create in game offline GFWL account
@supreme68 by default you open menus by pressing END,you can change controls in options

hi ppl,i’ve downloaded the game,but when i install it,i get problem with a MEDIA 3 CAB.file,that is in folder,but it says that is missing.can someone help me please?thank you in advance
After playing 10-15 min i can wholeheartedly say, the people who made the port have no idea what a PC is, the controls are atrocious, you have no idea what you have to do as there is no quest/mission log, the camera is wild, and probably the only way you could control the character is with a gamepad, but that would make 1/2 the port for PC pointless (the other half is not needing a console to play it). Seriously console worshiping game companies should either stick to consoles only or learn once and for all what a PC is , how it functiones and think really hard how a port should be, and hey..maybe even test the port with a keyboard and mouse and not with a gamepad. (Yes i am angry and really disapointed).
awful port tbh i was looking forward to this game but all the control options it tells you to press at the start of the game are xbox image buttons… game was laggy as hell to a bit.

I dont even know what u guys are all talking about and i dont even really care. As far as i know i’ve been playing this game the past few days and it works flawlessly. Love the game in all aspects.
Resolution fix? What for? If any of u played the demon’s souls like I did before it was even released in europe and locked to 720p, u guys should play this game as it comes and not with some troubling fix released because u cant bare to play a game with 720p. To me the game looks great with a blurry image, kinda makes it look even more mysterious or gothic. But meh wont judge other opinions looking for a fix because some folks cant bare the looks of it and are too busy looking for a fix instead of appretiating the AWESOME gameplay. Oh I did say gameplay! I’m playing the game with a regular ps3 looking controller bought in the chinesse folks store and it works perfect. x360ce app is your friend trust me! Google it, thank me later. And finally, games for windows live? really? Where’s that? As far as im concerned it never poped up to me since I first installed the game. NEVER. And the game saves properly without any problems even if i do alt+F4 in any occasion, next time I run the game i’ll be in the exact same spot. Thank you guys for this great release!
